Partnerpedia Enterprise AppZone is an online service that allows corporate IT to control the publishing, distribution and management of approved applications to end-user devices more effectively. Designed for tablets, and other smart devices, Enterprise AppZone is a way to ensure corporate policies and procedures are met while giving employees the user friendly experience found in consumer style application stores.

Unlike mobile device management (MDM) solutions that focus on the device profiles and device level security, Enterprise AppZone securely controls the distribution of apps based on policies, user permissions and roles. In addition, it is designed for multiple content types, not just apps, across a variety of end-points from mobile to desktop.

Vetting and Security

Enterprise AppZone ensures app security through virus detection and digital authentication. End-user access to apps are managed using roles based access control (RBAC) at the user and group levels so that users can only view and access the apps they have been assigned. Application and data wipe is also employed when a user changes job roles or an event such as device loss is triggered.

Need 3rd party mobile apps? Enterprise AppZone also includes a mobile apps marketplace where IT can select and approve pre-vetted apps for end-user distribution. The apps marketplace includes pre-selected apps based on business categories. Credit card, volume licensing and PO procurement processes can all be handled.
