Senior QA Analyst

Job Summary

The Senior QA Analyst provides technical and functional expertise to perform quality assurance tasks, including the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and user requirements, and for progress in accordance with schedules. The Senior QA Analyst works as a part of a dynamic Agile team where quality is everybody’s responsibility.

What will you be responsible for?

You will design and implement test plans for testing Ruby on Rails web applications, prepare test cases, and control quality for application components. You will also document, troubleshoot and isolate problems encountered during testing. Finally, you will participate in SDLC improvements sessions and quality measures reviews while assisting with QA process enhancements based on industry standards and practices.

Requirements

• Diploma or University Degree (Bachelor Degree in Computer Science preferred)
• 5+ years testing web -based applications
• Experience working in Agile environment
• High level understanding and exposure to web application architecture
• Expert level experience using manual testing procedures and methodologies
• Knowledge of software testing strategies and methodologies
• Strong organizational skills and an attention to detail
• Experience with automation and an interest to gain exposure to this area of QA an asset
• 2+ years’ experience testing with Selenium a bonus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
