Tourism Account Manager


This 1 year maternity leave coverage is an excellent opportunity for an experienced account manager to blend their professional skills with their passion for luxury travel.  Working closely with our in house development team, you will take ownership of our managing our Tourism Accounts and work with exclusive destinations and experts in the travel industry to deliver smart and savvy online marketing tools. You will be responsible both for developing and maintaining a sales pipeline to ensure we meet our revenue objectives and grow our existing accounts to their full potential. We are looking for someone with lots of ideas, the ability to build strong teams, excellent experience and a keen interest in the evolving worlds of social media, online marketing and analytics. This is both an inside and an outside sales role.

Responsibilities

  • Selling core business, strategic consulting offerings and business solutions to new and existing clients (cold calling and market research required)
  • Identifying clients’ needs followed by developing and presenting solutions
  • Negotiating business offerings with clients and partners 
  • Project management of training rollouts 
  • Initiating, developing and maintaining client relationships at senior management levels 
  • Developing Strategic Account Plans 
  • Preparing written proposals
  • Delivering oral presentations to customers and other stakeholders 
  • Managing agreements and contracts with customers, suppliers and vendors 
  • Prioritizing activities to ensure optimum penetration and profitability
  • Providing business direction to sales support and the inside sales team
  • Providing accurate and timely reports including forecasts and activities 
  • Setting and executing account strategies 
  • Maintaining client contacts, profiles, opportunities and other information in CRM (e.g. SalesForce.com)
  • Preparing written proposals
  • Leading remote and in-person training sessions on industry-specific technical products 

Requirements

  • Post secondary education (Business degree preferred)

  • 4+ years experience in a sales role (enterprise technology sector preferred)

  • Demonstrated ability to close professional services solutions deals

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a consultative sales cycle

  • Knowledge of and experience with information technology (Web application experience preferred)

  • Experience driving web based marketing campaigns and technologies

  • Tourism Technology Marketing experience highly desired

  • Technically proficient with MS Office & intra/internet navigation

  • Knowledge of current technology industry trends 

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships 

  • Demonstrated successful sales track record  

  • Expert verbal and written communication skills  

  • High energy and self-motivation

  • Expert level software skills, primarily Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Salesforce.com   

  • Knowledge of basic information technology roles and skill sets throughout the company
